Walkathon for Drug Free Teens

The Majority Rules Club will hold its Seventh Annual Walkathon for Drug Free Teens on Saturday, April 6.

The 10-mile walk starts at 7 a.m. at Lucerne Valley High School and ends at Pioneer Park, where the Roadrunners will reward finishers with a barbecue meal. Members of Citizens On Patrol will help keep walkers safe, and local community groups will provide water stations every mile.

Community members are encouraged to join the walk or help sponsor a teen participant, according to district office manager Karol Thompson, who serves as the group’s adviser.

The event will help students get to the South Central States Youth 2 Youth Conference in Tulsa, OK this summer.
